You can arrange training just for your Academy Trust in our training room, which has the capacity for 24 delegates, or we can deliver the training on-site.

Managing Attendance – Sickness Absence & Leave of Absence

An in-depth look at managing short-term and long-term sickness absence, managing the process, the role of Occupational Health and how to use referrals. Meeting with employees who are absent and looking at ill health retirement as well as dismissal for ill health.

Dealing with Difficult People – Having Difficult Conversations

Managing people can be a difficult role, particularly when it involves managing difficult people.

This training looks at what makes people difficult and the impact on other staff of not fulfilling the role of a manager. This training gives managers the tools and confidence to have those difficult conversations.

Managing Under Performance And The Transition to Capability

Managing poor Performance is part of a manager’s role, but having that initial conversation can be difficult.

This training gives managers the confidence and skills to be able to have those conversations, guidance on managing support plans and how that then transfers into Capability.

Maternity, Paternity and Adoption Leave

A guide through all the family-friendly policies that every school must have. Use examples to understand each of the processes and look at specific legislation around employees who are pregnant, on maternity leave, and on adoption leave.

Discipline & Grievance

Managers may have to deal with low-level misconduct and serious misconduct leading to potential dismissal. In this training, we take a look at the steps in the process of managing discipline and grievances and practical advice on managing the process and using the policy.

Restructuring – A Practical Guide

Restructuring is a complex process with many elements to it; this training starts with the business reasons for restructuring and takes delegates through selection techniques, addressing suitable alternative employment and compulsory redundancies.
